Migraciones cualificadas SUR-SUR. Una Investigación sobre el Caso España-Ecuador 2008-2018

Abstract

Los flujos migratorios que originaron en España a partir de la denominada crisis económica de 2008 que afectó al país, y a otras latitudes, generó un inusitado interés por parte de la Academia en tratar de darle respuesta. El estado del arte a través de aportes teóricos y empíricos que parten desde fines del s. XIX hasta la actualidad. De igual manera, un marco metodológico que explica el proceso con el que se orientó la investigación. El apartado cuantitativo analiza las salidas de españoles hacia todos los continentes. Los dos subsiguientes aportan resultados del trabajo de campo en Ecuador. La parte final de esta investigación ofrece alcances, limitaciones y recomendaciones sobre la cuestión. The migratory flows that originated in Spain from the so-called economic crisis of 2008 that affected the country, and other latitudes, generated an unusual interest on the part of the Academy in trying to answer the questions that were generated from that same institution, but also in other areas such as sending and receiving governments and from civil society itself. The development of the text addresses, in the first instance, the state of the art through theoretical and empirical contributions that start from the late XIX century to the present. In the same way, a methodological framework that explains the process with which the research was oriented, which includes a script that will be applied in semi-structured in-depth interviews for subsequent analysis. The quantitative section analyzes the outflow of Spaniards to all continents, but with special emphasis on Latin America and Ecuador. The two subsequent ones provide results from field work carried out in eight Ecuadorian cities with the aim of publicizing their sociodemographic characteristics and experiences regarding their process. The final part of this research offers scope, limitations, and recommendations on the issue.
