ANÁLISIS ECONÓMICO DE DESTINOS TURÍSTICOS: UNA VISIÓN DESDE EL DESARROLLO ENDÓGENO

Abstract

Esta tesis doctoral supone una aportación importante y novedosa al desarrollo local desde el ámbito del turismo. Se han analizado mucho los impactos económicos del turismo y, sobre todo, la contribución del turismo al crecimiento económico, pero no tanto su contribución al desarrollo económico y menos aún al desarrollo endógeno.

Por tanto, el estudio mesoeconómico de la actividad turística es un reto que esta tesis doctoral asume, primero, por la implicación de los agentes económicos que requiere el turismo en un territorio, y segundo, por la importancia en la medición de lo que se ha denominado en esta investigación dinamismo económico del turismo, que supone un importante indicador de carácter local para determinar qué territorios son dinámicos turísticamente a escala local y cuáles no, para, finalmente, plantear modelos de transformación de una comunidad territorial en base al concepto de destino turístico y sin perder de vista la inteligencia territorial.This research is an important topic in the local development contribution from the field of tourism. So, we analyzed here the economic impacts of tourism at the local level and the contribution of tourism to the economic growth because its contribution to economic development and endogenous development is and interesting tool for knowledge in the field of mesoeconomics.

Therefore, mesoeconomics studies of tourism is a challenge that this PhD assumes, firstly, by the involvement of operators requiring tourism in a territory, and secondly, because of the importance in measuring which has been called in this research economic dynamism of tourism, which is an important indicator in the local level to determine which areas are dynamic touristically and which are not , to finally bring transformation models of a territorial community based on the concept of tourist destination without losing sight of the territorial intelligence.
