El Orff-Schulwerk en España (1960-1972): agentes y procesos de recepción y difusión

Abstract

Esta tesis doctoral se centra en estudiar cómo se introdujo y adaptó la propuesta pedagógico-musical del compositor alemán Carl Orff (conocida como Orff-Schulwerk) en España entre 1960 y 1972. A través de un análisis detallado de fuentes de distinta índole (documentos históricos, material audiovisual, entrevistas y otros materiales), se reconstruye el proceso de recepción de esta metodología en España. Se examina el papel de diversas instituciones (Fundación Juan March y Sección Femenina de FET y de las JONS) y los protagonistas en esta difusión, así como las adaptaciones realizadas de los materiales originales alemanes de Musik für Kinder para transferirlos al contexto español. Los resultados permiten establecer una cronología veraz de este proceso y evidencian el papel desempeñado por los distintos agentes involucrados, obteniendo una visión más completa y detallada de los mecanismos de recepción del Orff- Schulwerk en España, así como posibles implicaciones políticas en este proceso.

This doctoral thesis focuses on studying how the German composer Carl Orff's pedagogical-musical approach (known as Orff-Schulwerk) was introduced and adapted in Spain between 1960 and 1972. Through a detailed analysis of diverse sources (historical documents, audiovisual material, interviews, and other materials), the process of how this methodology was received in Spain is reconstructed. The role of various institutions (such as the Juan March Foundation and the Women’s Section of FET y de las JONS) and the key figures in this dissemination are examined, as well as the adaptations made to the original German Musik für Kinder materials to transfer them to the Spanish context. The results provide an accurate chronology of this process and highlight the roles played by the different agents involved, offering a more complete and detailed view of the mechanisms behind the reception of Orff-Schulwerk in Spain, along with possible political implications of this process.
