| dc.description | This paper is about the right to healthcare and access to healthcare benefits in the EU before and after Brexit. This phenomenon has changed the relations of the EU and the Member States with the United Kingdom, and this has affected both the rights of British citizens in other EU Member States and those of citizens of other States residing in the United Kingdom. or who want to move to it. We are going to focus on the right to cross-border healthcare, first of all because this is a particularly complex right in the EU that finds its foundation in the need to guarantee the Community's freedoms of free movement and freedom to provide services. | dc.description | Este trabajo aborda el derecho a la asistencia sanitaria y el acceso a las prestaciones sanitarias en la UE antes y después del brexit. Este fenómeno ha cambiado las relaciones de la UE y los Estados miembros con Reino Unido, y ello ha afectado tanto a los derechos de los ciudadanos británicos en otros Estados miembros de la UE como a los de los ciudadanos de otros Estados residentes en el Reino Unido o que quieran desplazarse a él. Nosotros nos vamos a centrar en el derecho a la asistencia sanitaria transfronteriza, primero por ser este un derecho especialmente complejo en la UE que encuentra su fundamento en la necesidad de garantizar las libertades comunitarias de libre circulación y libre prestación de servicios. Algo que al producirse la retirada de Reino Unido de la UE pierde toda justificación y, segundo, por ser España uno de los destinos preferentes para los británicos tanto para hacer turismo como para trasladar su residencia una vez alcanzada la edad de jubilación. | es |
