LA LITERATURA ORAL DE LOS INMIGRANTES RUMANOS DE LA COMUNIDAD DE MADRID

Abstract

El propósito de esta tesis doctoral es la recogida y análisis de un corpus de literatura oral y de cultura popular de los inmigrantes rumanos de la Comunidad de Madrid. Con ello, se pretende paliar la falta de estudios sobre el folclore de este grupo y ofrecer una visión de conjunto de las posibilidades que aún existen para su registro y análisis. En este proceso, se han llevado a cabo veinticinco entrevistas que contienen distintos etnotextos, tales como creencias, conjuros, labores agrícolas, el ciclo de la vida (del servicio militar, de amor, epitalamios, endechas), entre otros. En el proceso metodológico, se ha elaborado un cuestionario con preguntas que se centran en la historia de vida de cada persona y que avanzan después hacia los tres pilares básicos de esta tesis: la historia oral, el ciclo de la vida y los testimonios sobre criaturas fantásticas.

The aim of this doctoral thesis is to edit and study an oral literature corpus belonging to the Romanian community of immigrants who live in Madrid. From a methodological point of view, I have searched for people between thirty and eighty years old, born in different parts of Romania and who were willing to tell me some memories of their lives both from their place of origin and their experience in Spain. To this effect, I have created a questionnaire that starts with some aspects of life history and moves to diverse details of oral literature: rites of passage, beliefs in the strigoi or the evil eye. The extracts obtained from the interviews are analyzed in different chapters of this research. Once the transcription and translation processes were completed, I proceeded with three analytical chapters: oral history, life cycle, and testimonies on fantastic creatures and similar beliefs.
