La difusión del Orff-Schulwerk en España a través de los cursos de formación de la Sección Femenina (1964-1972)

Abstract

Originado en Alemania, el Orff-Schulwerk o método Orff comenzó a circular por otros países en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Concretamente, a España llegó a partir de 1962 y uno de los agentes más destacados en su proceso de implantación fue la Sección Femenina de Falange Española Tradicionalista (FET) y de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (JONS). Este artículo estudia la formación en el método Orff impulsada por la Sección Femenina a través de los cursos organizados en España en la década de 1960. A partir de la consulta y vaciado de un fondo documental inédito conservado en el Archivo General de la Administración, se ofrece un análisis de corte descriptivo y crítico de las diversas actividades formativas documentadas, lo que permite conocer los docentes, los cursillistas, los lugares de impartición, la estructura de los cursos y el material utilizado. El objetivo último es comprender la vinculación de este colectivo con el método, su repercusión y la ideología conectada con la diseminación de esta metodología. La evidencia reunida sugiere que la llegada del método Orff a España no fue un suceso fortuito y que la Sección Femenina jugó un papel determinante en dicho proceso.

Originating in Germany, the Orff-Schulwerk or the Orff method began to spread to other countries in the second half of the twentieth century. Specifically, it arrived in Spain in 1962, and one of the key agents in its implementation process was the Falange Española Tradicionalista (the Traditionalist Spanish Phalanx, FET) and the Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (Councils of National-Syndicalist Offensive, JONS). This article examines the training in the Orff method promoted by the Sección Femenina (Women’s Section) through the courses organized in Spain in the 1960s. By consulting and analyzing an unpublished documentary collection preserved in the General Archive of Administration, a descriptive and critical analysis is provided of the documented training activities. This allows for an understanding of the teachers, participants in the courses, locations where they were held, course structure, and the materials used. The ultimate objective is to comprehend the connection of this collective with the method, its impact, and the ideology associated with the dissemination of this methodology. The evidence gathered suggests that the arrival of the Orff method in Spain was not a random event and that the Women’s Section played a decisive role in this process.
