Ítem IberianVoxel: Automatic Completion of Iberian Ceramics for Cultural Heritage Studies(International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization., 2023-08) Navarro, Pablo; Cintas, Celia; Lucena, Manuel; Fuertes, José M.; Rueda, Antonio; Segura, Rafael; Ogáyar-Anguita, Carlos; González-José, Rolando; Delrieux, ClaudioAccurate completion of archaeological artifacts is a critical aspect in several archaeological studies, including documentation of variations in style, inference of chronological and ethnic groups, and trading routes trends, among many others. However, most available pottery is fragmented, leading to missing textural and morphological cues. Currently, the reassembly and completion of fragmented ceramics is a daunting and time-consuming task, done almost exclusively by hand, which requires the physical manipulation of the fragments. To overcome the challenges of manual reconstruction, reduce the materials’ exposure and deterioration, and improve the quality of reconstructed samples, we present IberianVoxel, a novel 3D Autoencoder Generative Adversarial Network (3D AE-GAN) framework tested on an extensive database with complete and fragmented references. We generated a collection of 1001 3D voxelized samples and their fragmented references from Iberian wheel-made pottery profiles. The fragments generated are stratified into different size groups and across multiple pottery classes. Lastly, we provide quantitative and qualitative assessments to measure the quality of the reconstructed voxelized samples by our proposed method and archaeologists’ evaluation.Ítem Indoor Area Location System Using UWB Technology and Axis-Linear Bounding Boxes(IEEE Access, 2024) López Ruiz, José Luis; Jiménez Villar, José María; Albín Rodríguez, Antonio Pedro; Espinilla Estevez, MacarenaÍtem Metodología basada en protoformas lingüísticas para la detección de actividades en pacientes con diabetes tipo 2(SARTECO, 2024) Díaz Jiménez, David; López Ruíz, José Luis; González Lama, Jesús; Espinilla Estevez, MacarenaÍtem A fuzzy-based IoMT intelligent data platform for enhanced glucose data interpretation and healthcare assistance(IEEE Access, 2024) López Ruiz, José Luis; Gaitán Guerrero, Juan Francisco; Martínez Cruz, Carmen; Espinilla Estevez, MacarenaÍtem Sistema IoT para la Monitorización de Glucosa en Tiempo Real: Empoderando el Cuidado y la Prevención de Diabetes(2024) López Ruiz, José Luis; Gaitán Guerrero, Juan Francisco; Martínez Cruz, Carmen; Díaz Jiménez, David; González Lama, Jesús; Espinilla Estevez, MacarenaÍtem FuzzyIoT - Platform for Descriptive Analysis of Sensor Data Stream(ScholarSpace, 2023-01-03) Martínez Mimbrera, Francisco Jesús; Montoro Lendínez, Alicia; López Ruíz, José Luis; Damas Hermoso, Miguel; Espinilla Estévez, MacarenaÍtem New trends in machine learning techniques for human activity recognition using multimodal sensors(Springer, 2023-11-30) González Lama, Jesús; Montoro Lendínez, Alicia; Espinilla Estévez, Macarena; Valera, Juan Carlos; Gil, David; Peral, Jesús; Johnsson, MagnusÍtem Methodology based on linguistic protoforms for activity detection in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(ScholarSpace, 2024-01-06) Díaz Jiménez, David; González Lama, Jesús; Espinilla Estévez, Macarena; López Ruiz, José LuisÍtem Low-cost IoT gas concentrator system prototype (ponencia)(IEEE Access, 2022-07-01) Montoro Lendínez, Alicia; López Ruíz, José Luis; Charte, Francisco; Espinilla Estévez, Macarena; Medina Quero, JavierÍtem Advanced Home-Based Diabetes Monitoring System: Initial Real-World Experiences(Springer, 2023-11-30) Díaz Jiménez, David; López Ruíz, José Luis; Montoro Lendínez, Alicia; González Lama, Jesús; Espinilla Estévez, MacarenaÍtem Transforming Elderly Care Through Ethical and Social Evaluation of Intelligent Activity Recognition Systems in Nursing Homes(Springer, 2023-11-30) Montoro Lendínez, Alicia; Linares, Carmen; Perandres, Ana; Cruz, Alfonso; López Ruiz, José Luis; Nugent, Chris; Espinilla, MacarenaÍtem IoT-driven Real-Time Glucose Monitoring: Empowering Diabetes Care and Prevention(Springer, 2023-11-30) López Ruiz, José Luis; Gaitán Guerrero, Juan Francisco; Martínez Cruz, Carmen; Díaz Jiménez, David; González Lama, Jesús; Espinilla Estévez, MacarenaÍtem Monwatch: A fuzzy application to monitor the user behavior using wearable trackers(IEEE, 2020-07) Martínez-Cruz, Carmen; Medina-Quero, Javier; Serrano, José M.; Gramajo, SergioNowadays, the proliferation of wearable devices has enabled monitoring user behaviours and activities in a non-invasive, autonomous and straightforward way. Moreover, new trend analysis has been boosted by biosignal sensors from wearable trackers, such as inertial or heart rate sensors. The knowledge of such user activity presents a personalized monitoring to prevent any kind of physical or neurological disorders through the sensor evaluation by an expert. To this end, the definition of key indicators and the display of results and relevant analyses require of agile and effective tools. Therefore, this proposal presents a novel web application where the data obtained from a Fitbit Ionic smartwatch wearable are collected, synchronized and compiled to present a summary of an user’s daily activity, which is defined by a linguistic description using fuzzy logic to represent the most relevant Health Key Indicators (HKI). Moreover, an analysis of the user’s behaviour over time is proposed by inferring relevant patterns from a fuzzy clustering algorithm.Ítem A Tool to Perform Semantic and Imprecise Queries on non-scalar Data(IEEE, 2017-07) Martínez-Cruz, Carmen; Serrano, José M.; Vila, AmparoImprecision in queries has being managed using fuzzy logic techniques in the last few decades. Fuzzy logic techniques represent uncertainty formally and it allows to manage imprecision on scalar values in an easy and accurate way. The problem arises when users want to deal with semantics and nonscalar data at once. In this situation, fuzzy logic helps us to manage uncertainty, but it lacks of the flexibility that the semantic properties of words imply. Nowadays, ontologies have addressed this problem by the establishment of the semantic relationships among terms. Here, we present a software that allows us to combine fuzzy and semantic queries on non-scalar data. As a proof of concept, we will show some examples of queries performed on a real database about olive trees plantations.
